Terms & Conditions

 

Aerial And Floor aims to provide a safe training space for all participants and staff. As such, individuals and groups wishing to use the facilities must have their application approved and adhere to the conditions of use outlined below.

 

1. Conditions of participation

1.1 Indemnity Form

You are required to sign an Indemnity Form prior to the commencement of your first class or workshop at Aerial And Floor.

Participants under the age of 18 must provide a guardian’s written consent through the signing of the Indemnity Form.

You will not be allowed to participate in a class if you refuse to sign the Indemnity Form.

 

2. Class Bookings and Packages

All courses and classes are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless you are unable to continue for medical reasons, of which Aerial And Floor will take into consideration upon receipt of an appropriate medical certificate.

All classes are subject to a minimum and maximum number of participants, and the management reserves the right to cancel or amend courses or classes.

Aerial And Floor reserves the right to substitute teachers advertised for classes at its discretion, and will ensure that the replacement teacher is qualified and skilled at a level required to take the relevant class.

The studio personnel or instructor has the right to forbid you from taking the class if they deem you sick, unfit, injured, or if you pose threat to themselves or others.

 

2.1 Term Classes

Term Classes run once a week for 8 weeks per term.

Registration has to be made before the cut-off date for every term.

Courses must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the first session.

 

2.2 Open Classes

Open class packages must be paid for in full prior to the commencement of the first booked session.

Bookings are essential for each class.

 

2.3 Private Classes

All private class bookings must be paid in full 24 hours before the commencement of the booked session.

Private class packages are valid within six months of their purchase date.

Bookings are essential for each class.

 

2.4 Workshops

Workshops and specialty classes are held on occasion.

Workshop bookings must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the workshop.

Bookings are essential for all workshops.

 

2.5 Open Class Cancellations

Class cancellations have to be made at least 12 hours prior to the commencement of the booked session, otherwise it will be forfeited. If you manage to cancel before the 12 hour window, the credit will be added back into your account for usage before the expiry of the open class package.

If the studio cancels a class that you have registered and paid for, the credit will be added back into your account.

 

2.6 Make-up Classes for Term Courses

You have to notify the management in advance if you will be absent for one of the sessions during the term. The management will try to rearrange a make-up booking for the same course in another scheduled timing, or another term class teaching the same discipline at the equivalent level or lower. However it will be subject to availability of spots in the class, and the make-up class has to be done within the same term.

Please notify the studio at least one week in advance if you are dropping out of a term course before the first lesson starts. If you drop out of a term course halfway, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remainder of the course.

 

2.7 Medical Certificate

Students who are unable to attend class due to illness or injury must submit a copy of the medical certificate (MC) issued by their doctor with the date and duration of rest stated, and must submit it within the period stated on the MC. The remaining credits in the package will be accounted for only from the date that we receive the MC . For example, if you receive the MC on 1 April 2023 for 7 days of rest, and you send the MC to us on 3 April 2023, only the remaining credits/classes from 3 April 2023 can be extended for make-up or booking. We will arrange the make-up class(es) or booking(s) with you once we have received the official MC.

 

3. Practice Sessions

Bookings must be made prior to the commencement of the session, and you have to notify management at least 2 days in advance of your choice of apparatus.

You are allowed to train only in your current discipline. If you wish to train in any other disciplines, you have to seek your  course instructor or reception personnel for approval.

You are not allowed to teach other students during the session.

Any non-Aerial And Floor equipment requires approval before use in the school, and must be removed at the end of the session.

The reception personnel has the right to stop someone if they are misusing the apparatus.

 

4. Conduct

4.1 Code of Conduct

Aerial And Floor does not tolerate disrespectful, discriminatory, hostile or hateful behaviour by any person towards another. Anyone displaying such behaviour will be asked to leave without compensation, or even have their membership revoked without refund. People who are disruptive during class will be given warnings, and eventually asked to sit out or leave a class if the offence is committed repeatedly.

 

4.2 Warm-ups

Warm-ups at the start of class is compulsory under the instructor’s lead. Latecomers have to first conduct their own warm-ups upon arrival, under the supervision of the instructor, before joining the rest of the class.

 

4.3 Mobile Phone/Electronic Device Usage

Please switch off your mobile phones and devices during class and leave them off the studio floor. If you have to take/make a call or text during class, please step outside the studio.  No picture- or video-taking during class until the instructor gives permission.

 

4.4 Etiquette Before and After Class

You may wait in the reception area before the commencement of your class. Please keep your voice down if classes are still in progress. You are not allowed to mount the apparatus until class commences. Do not hog the apparatus after class especially if the instructor or staff need to change out the apparatus to prepare for the next class.
